Research Rigor Challenge
If you think about yourself like this:
I am an established authority in my field. I recognize that my expertise is my
greatest
asset, but also my greatest risk—it can create a 'veneer of certainty' that masks
evolving data or alternative paradigms. My goal is to use this tool for Radical
Self-Grounding. I am here to intentionally trigger intellectual friction, systematically
dismantle my own confirmation biases, and stress-test my conclusions until only the most
robust, logically sound truths remain.
This challenge is for you!
User Guide
1. Purpose & Philosophy
This tool is designed to move research from "Finalized" to "Incorruptible." It uses randomized inquiry to disrupt linear thinking and force a 360-degree review of your project's structural integrity.
2. Operational Workflow
To get the most out of the Research Rigor Challenge, follow this protocol:
- The Initial Spin: Click "Generate Challenge" to receive your first methodological probe.
- The "Rule of Five": Continue spinning until you have a full stack of 5 questions. This represents a "Complete Rigor Circuit," covering everything from ethical guidelines to statistical reproducibility.
- Targeted Refinement (The 'Change' Function): If a question targets an area you have already exhaustively documented, use the "Change" button. This pulls a fresh, unused inquiry from the 100+ question pool, ensuring your time is spent on "unmapped" intellectual territory.
- Zero-Repeat Integrity: The tool automatically removes used questions from the pool. This ensures that every session provides unique challenges, preventing you from falling into repetitive, "rehearsed" defenses of your work.
3. Interpreting the Inquiry Pillars
The questions you will encounter focus on three "Depth Levels":
| Level | Focus | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Epistemological | Source and Nature of Knowledge | To verify how you know what you claim to know. |
| Methodological | Process and Reliability | To ensure your results aren't artifacts of your specific tools or biases. |
| Reflexive | The Researcher’s Role | To identify where your "authority" might be clouding neutral observation. |
